Style Lessons We Learned at the Golden Globes
The Golden Globes never fails to provide the fashion world with guidance, and this year’s Golden Globes definitely gave viewers an indication of the hottest trends for 2017. From simple sleek hair to elaborate up-dos, the stars proved that many different styles will be on show this year.
Simple and Sleek
Heidi Klum, Amy Adams, and Kerry Washington strutted down the red carpet sporting sophisticated and sleek hair that was impressively free of frizz. The simplicity of this look adds to its elegance, but without a doubt the key is all in the products used!
The Middle Part is Back
We spent many, many years with side bangs prevailing, but according to the Golden Globes, it’s time to embrace the middle part once again. The “little black dress” of hairstyles, the middle part is understated yet appealing, and it doesn’t take too much emphasis away from the beautiful dresses the actresses were sporting. In fact, many stars like Jessica Biel and Zoe Saldana seemed ken on keeping their hair styles subtle to emphasize their faces and dresses.
Nude Is the New Red
Red lipstick is a classic, but nude colors made a big splash at the Golden Globes as well. Everyone from Sienna Miller and Thandie Newton to Naomie Harris boasted sexy nude lips that offered an attractive yet subtle statement. Nude is a great choice when a dress or hairstyle is powerful enough in its own right.
Bold Brows
Eyebrows continue make huge statements on the red carpet, especially thanks to Cara Delevingne’s iconic full brows that so many women want to imitate. Hailee Steinfeld, Maisie WIlliams, and Lily Collins followed Delevingne’s lead by arriving with full, filled, shaped brows that quickly turned heads.
Piles of Hair Also Win
Just as beautiful as sleek, flowing hair are the high tower updos that many actresses like to show. Lily Collins, for example, boasted a beautiful and intricate pattern with intertwined braids atop her head. Monae even bedazzled her updo with pearls for an unmistakable fashion statement.
Like every award show, the Golden Globes put on display just how many different ways there are for women to look beautiful!
